Torben Vad

Torben Vad is the Global Technical Director and founding partner for AREPA, a leader in technical restoration with offices in five countries, where he developed advanced techniques for the evaluation and recovery of contaminated electronics, machinery and electrical gear.

As a degreed electronics engineer, project manager and corrosion expert, Mr. Vad has over 37 years of experience in the evaluation and restoration of equipment impacted by a wide variety of perils such as fire, water and chemical contamination. He has served clients worldwide on losses involving cargo, maritime electronics, power distribution, and propulsion systems, on vessels ranging from antique ketches to high-tech war ships.   He also has extensive experience and the appropriate operational and emergency certifications to evaluate off-shore platforms, wind turbines, and other marine installations.

When he is not traveling, Torben resides in Silkeborg, Denmark.
