Biography

Rob is a maritime civil engineer with over 19 years’ experience in the design and project management of a wide range of marine infrastructure projects. He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE CEng) and a member of the Society for the Environment (CENV).

He has extensive experience in the design and construction of maritime civil engineering works, which includes dredging, reclamation and ground improvement, breakwaters, a wide range of quay structures, berthing and mooring dolphins, monopiles, fenders and mooring systems. Rob has regularly applied this experience to the planning and development of container terminals, Ro-Ro and bulk handling terminals, marinas and harbour facilities worldwide including UK, Europe, South America and India.

He has regularly managed projects which required the preparation of feasibility studies, port master plans and option identification studies, budget cost estimates and outline and detailed designs. He has experience in the preparation of contract documents and technical specifications, identification of procurement strategies, management of the tender process, assessment and negotiation of tender submissions and the management of contracts in conjunction with construction supervision.

Rob is skilled in the development and maintenance of client relationships; and as such has been involved with the development and upgrade of ports and container terminals around the world. As a result, he has obtained a comprehensive knowledge of port and terminal operations.
