Massimo Canepa a doctor in Mechanical Engineering, is one of the leading marine surveyors in the marine industry, operating worldwide from his base in Genoa, Italy.

He has been serving the Italian and many other marine insurance markets for forty years.

He has extensive professional expertise in naval architecture and marine engineering, a deep knowledge in claim handling and a sound international experience as expert witness in International Courts and Arbitrations.

He is currently a member of the Loss Prevention Committee of the International Union of Marine Insurers (IUMI) and member of the Steering Committee of the International Marine Claim Conference (IMCC).
