George Margetis

George is the founder of the company in 2006, having previously served as Senior Surveyor and Technical Consultant since 1994.

Presently, George handles all sorts of assignments, with particular emphasis on casualty work and claims, attending mostly on behalf of H&M Underwriters and P&I Clubs.

He also handles technical merits of disputes, in close cooperation with the most reputable legal Firms, and has testified as an expert witness before Courts and Arbitration hearings.

He has extensive experience in handling machinery failure investigations and drafting repair specifications for large scale and complex casualties, such as fires, groundings and collisions. In addition, George carries out Office Management Assessment Audits and Shipyards’ Risk Assessment Surveys, as well as coordinates the Firm’s Condition Surveys.

His academic background includes B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and M.I.T. in U.S.A. 

George is a Member of the “Hellenic Marine Technical Consultants Association”.
